The biggest Christmas party of the season was lobby firm Barton Deakin's soiree at the Mint on Macquarie St. Guests included former prime minister John Howard, his former chief of staff, Graham Morris, former NSW premier, Nick Greiner and Queensland premier, Robert Borbidge. Plenty of MPs were also there to rub shoulders with the heads of industry and the public service.
